Job Description




As a Security Officer -Tech Patrol Driver Full-Time in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will perform routine patrols across campus spaces, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control and visitor direction, and document observations with clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assistance per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, including verifying identification and/or credentials when required.
  • Perform routine checks of doors, gates, lighting, and other site conditions, and report concerns through approved channels.
  • Monitor alarms, communications, and security-related systems as assigned, and take appropriate action based on site procedures.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and service requests in written and/or electronic reports with clear, factual details.
  • Provide direction to visitors, vendors, and employees, assisting with wayfinding and supporting adherence to site rules.
  • Support emergency and business continuity procedures, including assisting with evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and/or medical response requests as trained.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and local responders as needed, maintaining a professional presence at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
