Job Description




As a Security Officer - Medical Patrol Driver in Santa Rosa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service. This is a driving post, so you will use a valid driver's license to move between areas as needed, document activities, and respond to concerns with integrity, teamwork, and care.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical teams and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor management and/or wayfinding in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and policy exceptions in a timely manner, including completing reports and communicating relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
