Job Summary Responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in a variety of Cath Lab procedures. Prepares and stocks the Cath Lab before and after procedures, gathers clean and sterile supplies, sets sterile instrument fields, maintains and monitors aseptic techniquesEssential Functions -Assists the cardiologist in all surgical and diagnostic procedures. -Attends to patient needs during cardiac lab procedures. -Attends to patient needs during cardiac lab procedures. -Recognizes and interprets arrhythmias and heart block abnormalities. -Tests tissue according to what the pathologist needs. -Describe the indications for electrophysiologic testing, permanent pacemaker -Operates the radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures -Protects healthcare organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
