Job Description




As a Security Officer - Defense Campus Rover in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access control activity as needed. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an aero and defense location.
  • Control access to buildings and restricted areas by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, hangars, production spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter, looking for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations that may help to deter incidents.
  • Respond to alarms, reports of suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and local emergency services when needed.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate shift updates, and assist with investigations by preserving observations and providing requested information to site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
