As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, respond to calls for assistance, and provide calm, professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, visitor concerns, and access issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help manage visitor entry by verifying authorization, directing foot traffic, and/or assisting with after-hours access procedures as required by site policy.
  • Support staff with de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques for disruptive behavior, including coordinating with clinical teams and/or local responders when needed.
  • Complete security-related reports and documentation for incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Operate site systems and equipment as assigned, such as radios, phones, and/or electronic access control, while maintaining clear communication with team members.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, such as helping guide evacuations, supporting lockdown procedures, and/or controlling access to affected areas per site policy.
  • Conduct welfare checks and customer service rounds in common areas, waiting rooms, and corridors to help to deter loitering and address concerns promptly.
  • Follow all post orders and confidentiality expectations while interacting professionally with patients and protected information encountered during duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Have 2+ years' service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
