As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and clear communication. You will document and report security-related concerns, assist with access control and/or visitor needs, and collaborate with site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology workplace.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, disruptive behavior, and facility alarms.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, collaboration areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access by monitoring authorized entry points, verifying identification and/or visitor credentials, and directing guests to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other building systems as assigned, reporting irregular activity and escalating concerns per post orders.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow during peak arrival and departure times and during special events, as directed by site procedures.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, and reunification processes, coordinating with onsite teams and public responders when requested.
  • Perform interior and exterior checks of doors, gates, and common areas for signs of tampering, unauthorized access, or hazards, and report maintenance issues through designated channels.
  • Maintain a professional presence and provide clear communication to employees, contractors, and visitors, helping to deter unauthorized activity through routine patrol and engagement.
  • Use de-escalation techniques to address conflicts and/or policy violations, requesting additional assistance when needed.
  • Follow Allied Universal standards, site policies, and post instructions, participating in required training and briefings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
