Job Description




As a Security Officer - Bank Rover Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor badging, respond to service requests, and document observations with clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, building entrances, cash handling and processing areas as permitted, office spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or access credentials, directing visitors to authorized areas, and assisting with visitor sign-in procedures per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, and report observed irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Document and report incidents, hazards, and service requests using written reports and/or electronic reporting systems in a timely manner.
  • Provide visible patrol presence in lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter theft, fraud, and other prohibited activity.
  • Assist with employee and visitor escorts when requested, such as to parking areas, restricted corridors, or after-hours access points, in accordance with site policy.
  • Support access control during after-hours operations by verifying authorizations, monitoring deliveries, and guiding vendors to approved routes and staging areas.
  • Participate in site briefings, follow post orders, and communicate clearly with coworkers and site contacts to support consistent security-related coverage across shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
