Summary

"Performs all vascular and diagnostic ultrasound procedures fixed and mobile according to the policy and procedures that are provided by the department. A level III Sonographer must have three registries, one must be in vascular. Currently practicing all three specialties. Assists the radiologist with designated diagnostic exams. Interacts with medical staff and other outside entities regarding ultrasound matters. Assists the radiologist in guided needle biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, needle biopsies, needle localization, and operating room procedures. General computer skills as needed. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participations in staff/student orientation training. Required to participate in ""on call"" rotation as determined per specific department needs."
