You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through clear communication and professional service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor and contractor sign-in and sign-out logs.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic, coordinate with shipping and receiving personnel, and confirm deliveries, pickups, and dock appointments per site procedures.
  • Conduct package, bag, and property checks when assigned and permitted by site policy, documenting findings and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, access control issues, medical calls, and workplace disruptions.
  • Operate site access systems and security-related equipment such as card readers, visitor management platforms, radios, and CCTV, reporting malfunctions or irregularities.
  • Complete reports and logs including access activity, incident reports, and daily shift documentation with accurate and timely details.
  • Support emergency procedures by assisting with controlled evacuations, accountability processes, and perimeter access restrictions as directed by site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to visitors and drivers, helping to route them to the correct entrance, office, or staging area while following site-specific policies.
  • Communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding unusual activity, policy concerns, and operational impacts to help to deter unauthorized access and loss.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
