Job Description




As a Security Officer - Factory Roving Patrol in Fletcher, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through timely reporting and clear communication. You will support access control, respond to alarms and service requests, and provide a welcoming customer service experience for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic according to site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems, and communicate observed concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, suspicious activity, and/or property damage.
  • Document routine activity, incidents, and observations in daily logs and written reports, including complete and accurate details for follow-up.
  • Perform interior and exterior checks for unsecured doors, open gates, unusual conditions, and/or equipment concerns, then report findings through the required chain of communication.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, severe weather actions, and/or medical response notifications as directed by post orders and local guidelines.
  • Interact professionally with employees and contractors to reinforce site rules, de-escalate conflicts when possible, and/or request compliance consistent with assigned authority.
  • Operate within an unarmed post assignment while maintaining a professional presence and following all Allied Universal and location-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
