Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and strong communication. You will deliver welcoming customer service to guests and staff while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team that acts with integrity. This role requires an Armed Guard Card and/or License.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, members, staff, and/or visitors at a cultural institution by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Carry a firearm and perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable local and state laws and/or licensing requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report maintenance concerns.
  • Complete required security-related reports such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and/or patrol documentation, and communicate timely updates to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
