Content Marketing Specialist, Literacy and World Languages

What We Seek

At Carnegie Learning, we're building lifelong learners. We want to help every student and teacher reach their potential, so we rely on research and instructional best practices to provide the highest-quality math, literacy, world language, professional learning, and tutoring solutions. And we need your help to get the word out.

We're looking for a content marketing specialist who is a word chameleon: you can shift from shaping impactful messaging to inspiring customer success stories, crafting thought leadership blog posts, and writing quippy ad copy-nailing every piece. We're seeking a rhetorical lighthouse, drawing in and delighting customers and prospects with creative, compelling content until they become qualified leads, then loyal customers. If you're passionate about balancing a data-driven, SEO-minded approach with human-centered, emotionally rich writing, we need you. Join our growing team and do the best work of your career!

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Partner with the product marketing team to create and refine compelling content in a variety of forms (collateral, webpage copy, blog posts, emails, ad copy, newsletters, and more) that speaks to our audience of K-12 administrators and educators and helps us stand out from the crowd.
  • Partner with product marketing and communications to refine social media strategy for products.
  • Drive SEO and content optimization strategy to connect content with prospects and, in turn, drive MQLs.
  • Provide strategic consult on SEM, working with internal CL and vendor partners.
  • Lead and complete writing projects that include multiple rounds of review with various stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Think outside the box and strategize new ways of using content to engage our audience.

What Should Be In Your Bookbag

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Experience with literacy and/or world languages education markets preferred, but not required
  • Proven track record in content marketing and copywriting, with a portfolio of ad copy, email copy, web copy, blogs, newsletters, brochures, video scripts, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and goals, effectively tailoring content to resonate with K-12 administrators and educators.
  • Deep understanding of educators' current needs and trends in the education industry
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience optimizing content for search engines, driving organic traffic, and improving online visibility.
  • Proven ability to blend UX writing with SEO and accessibility practices to create content that resonates with a diverse audience.
  • Knowledge of data-driven content marketing strategies, including the ability to analyze content performance metrics and make data-backed decisions to optimize content effectiveness.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple writing projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
