Compensation Intern
What you will be doing: The Compensation Intern conducts market research on salaries, analyzing compensation data, helping with salary surveys, and supporting the administration of pay programs. Working closely with the compensation and HR teams, review job descriptions and participate in market research to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices. Projects worked on provide valuable exposure to compensation strategies and collaboration across HR functions, giving the intern a solid foundation for a career in human resources. Key Responsibilities Compensation Administration- 60%
Utilize Workday software to complete day to day tasks including headcount requests and updates to job architecture Update job profiles within Workday based on job description changes Conduct job evaluations using external software MarketPay (PayScale) Participate in salary surveys Review and revise internal Compensation portal (Inside Premier) Clean up and consolidate job repository/job descriptions Assist in maintaining the integrity of HRIS data and supporting compliance efforts
Annual Compensation Cycle (ACC) - 25%
Assist with creating and editing communications to leaders and employees Conduct data validation testing for the compensation cycle configurations, including salary and incentive plans within Workday DEV and Sandbox Perform audits by running reports and validating data Update the Human Resources Business Partner report on a regular basis
Other - 15%
Create and interpret spreadsheets, presentations and other deliverables using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint as necessary. Shadow team members to gain practical experience in HR strategies, and a deeper understanding of the vital role the compensation area plays in business success.

Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Ability to quickly learn innovative technologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complicated data in easy-to-understand language Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and collaboration tools (Copilot experience is a plus) Familiarity with testing processes of innovative technologies Experience in compensation administration or prior work in an HR department
Education: Obtaining a bachelor's degree related to human resources, business, or related field. Additional Job Requirements:

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $52,000 - $78,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
