As a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI-powered productivity tools, you will design and develop applications that enhance workflows and efficiency for internal engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, to deliver scalable, high impact solutions.

You will maintain and enhance mission critical, highly available distributed services that scale on demand to support the continuous Integration and development platform to improve developer efficiency through visualizations and AI powered automated analysis.

Your role will involve developing next-generation tools that automate tasks, provide intelligent insights, and improve overall user productivity across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This includes experimenting with various AI models, developing robust systems for performance, analyzing and visualizing data, and conducting end-to-end performance analysis. This role also involves optimizing scalable AWS infrastructure using EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, and Lambda, while ensuring cost effective operations. Your work will directly contribute to faster resolution of production issues, improved reliability of services, and productive use of engineering bandwidth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop productivity tools that enhance engineering efficiency through automated performance monitoring, anomaly detection, and issue resolution
  • Build intelligent frameworks that automate performance anomaly detection, infrastructure health checks, and root cause identification across telemetry, logs, and system utilization metrics.
  • Explore emerging AI landscape and web technologies and collaborate with senior team members to identify and advance opportunities for tool improvements.
  • Participate in product design discussions and help address software performance issues by identifying hotspots and developing prototypes to demonstrate potential solutions.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of AWS services to design, build, and maintain scalable tools and services.
  • Instrument, benchmark and define baselines to evaluate latency, reliability, and accuracy, identify gaps, and optimize performance.
  • Develop and maintain highly available, scalable mission critical distributed services to enhance developer efficiency through visualizations and AI powered automated analysis.
  • Clearly communicate your work, findings, and analysis to team members and present recommendations effectively to technical audiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A related technical degree required.
  • 5+ years of software development experience, with strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Python is highly preferred; experience in Java is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, Lambda), optimizing architectures for scalable and cost-effective operations.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Curiosity and initiative to question, and explore the evolving Gen AI landscape.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of profiling tools (e.g., perf, FlameGraphs) and performance diagnostic techniques.
  • Knowledge of AI agent frameworks like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.
  • Familiarity of various prompting strategies (e.g., zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought) to elicit desired responses from Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Familiarity with telemetry and production analysis (metrics, traces, logs), and applying AI to solve observability or debugging challenges.
