Gen AI Platform Engineer Intern - Summer 2026

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical AI Platform Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. As an AI Platform Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our data scientists and engineers to help build and maintain the infrastructure necessary for data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable AI platform solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various data sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and transformation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to optimize data workflows and improve performance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with data processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with REST API, Microservices and related frameworks such as Spring Boot, Flask..etc
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Requirements:

• Prior internship or work experience in AI Engineering is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and RDBMS databases such as MySQL, Postgres.
• Experience working with version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket and platforms like Jira, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Langchain/Langgraph Agents, Prompt engineering, RAG, Vector database is plus.

This is a hybrid position based in Morrisville, NC. Onsite presence is required three days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. The target start date will be June 1, 2026.
