Job Description




As a Security Officer - Industrial Mobile Rover in East Alton, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations with clear, professional communication. You will respond to calls for service, assist employees and visitors, and support site procedures with customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services when required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access to the property by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and following visitor management procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems when assigned, and document observations according to site procedures.
  • Complete routine inspections of doors, gates, fences, and lighting, and report maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
  • Assist with traffic flow and vehicle screening at entrances and shipping and receiving areas as directed by site policies.
  • Write detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, including observations from patrols and actions taken.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors to help resolve issues and support site operations.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, including confidentiality requirements and any required personal protective equipment rules for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - This is a primarily driving post.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
