Overview Na Ali'i is seeking an innovative, collaborative professional to join its Human Resources team as a Junior Human Resource Specialist. This entry-level role provides administrative support to the Human Resources team and assists with day-to-day HR operations. The Junior Human Resource Specialist supports new hire processing and onboarding, maintains accurate employee records, and helps ensure HR systems are current and compliant. Working closely with HR team members, Business Operations, and hiring managers, this role assists with processing new hires, responding to employee inquiries, and supporting employee lifecycle activities. The position also helps manage HR ticket requests, employment verifications, and other general administrative tasks, while escalating complex or sensitive matters to senior HR staff as appropriate. This position may be based in either our Arlington, Virginia or Honolulu, Hawaii office. Send out notification of new hire setup and offer letter to HR Team, Business Operation, and Hiring Manager to ensure new hires are processed on time
Qualifications Skills/Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and on-line search engines required. Familiarity with government contracting and related HR requirements. Previous experience with payroll systems is preferred, specifically ADP. Previous experience with applicant tracking systems is preferred, specifically iCIMS. Demonstrated knowledge and competence in HR statutory and regulatory requirements and best practices with PHR or SPHR desired Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field from an accredited institution. 1 to 3 years of human resources experience in the federal government contracting industry is preferred. Customer service experience is a plus. The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 (annualized USD).
