DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Licensing Representative, you will plan, organize and conduct inspections of provider agencies and programs to measure their compliance with existing state regulations. Inspections are conducted for Adult Training Facilities, Vocational Facilities, Community Homes and Family Living Homes. Work includes preparing Licensing Inspection Summaries citing providers for specific areas of non-compliance. You will be expected to monitor provider's plans of correction and verify that areas of non-compliance are corrected within the specified time frames. This position determines compliance with existing regulations and recommends type of license to be issued. Additional duties:

  • Provide guidance and advice to community service providers for correcting non-compliance areas
  • Provide technical assistance to community service providers, county intellectual disability programs and the general public by explaining regulations and licensure requirements governing intellectual disability programs
  • Conduct investigations of community service providers when complaints are received in the Office of Developmental Programs
  • Attend licensing meetings and training sessions to ensure consistency of interpretation and administration of regulations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
  • Candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Central Region which includes Adams, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Somerset, Union, and York counties.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Central Region (which includes the counties of Adams, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Somerset, Union, and York) by the time of hire.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
