Job Details:
The Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center is searching for a Senior Rural Health Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Rural Health Project Manager will function as the administrative and technical focal point for Center projects throughout Georgia. This position will establish and maintain schedules as well as plan, direct, supervise, and control technical, fiscal, and administrative aspects of the assigned work. The Senior Rural Health Project Manager will establish priorities and may additionally include management of technical and support personnel for functional activities associated with execution of the Center's projects. Candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of the Center's Rural Strategic Planning Process. Candidate must have a successful track record in project management and strong problem solving skills. This position will oversee a multidisciplinary team of employees, interns, students and volunteers during the course of their projects.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Leadership, or closely related area and three years of prior business and/or healthcare management, organizational leadership, or project management experience are required OR a master's degree and one year of the same experience are required.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license as this position requires some travel.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be a self-starter who works well independently or in a group.
  • Must have exceptional problem solving skills and must be able to respond effectively to numerous and varied situations, analyze issues, and respond quickly and correctly to resolve problems.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all management levels within the Center and MUSM as well as key individuals in other organizations/agencies across Georgia.
  • Knowledge of general business programs, policies and procedures is required to ensure effective/efficient use and distribution of resources.
