QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Social Work required.
- Active LCSW license in the State of Nevada is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical or social services leadership experience.
- Proven experience building clinical programs, billing structures, and documentation systems.
- Familiarity with Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), & behavioral health service codes.
- Well developed knowledge of HIPAA restrictions and requirements with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality as mandated by HIPAA regulation(s).
- Strong administrative and leadership skills with the ability to build new systems and infrastructure.
- Excellent knowledge of and ability to use current Microsoft software computer programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Publisher, e-mail, and the internet.
- Some experience with grant management preferred.
- Ability to lead a team of employees and work in a team setting with other professionals.
- Ability to maintain a self-motivated and self-directed schedule, address multiple projects in a timely manner and take projects from beginning through completion.
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
- Must possess a valid Nevada driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record check.
- Must pass The Salvation Army fleet safety e-learning module
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight to integrate behavioral health services into existing Salvation Army programs (including Homeless Services, Vocational Services, and Family Services).
- Oversee credentialing, policy development, quality assurance, and EHR implementation to ensure clinical compliance and billing readiness.
- Design and implement workflows that support Medicaid, Medicare, and MCO billing compliance.
- Develop and maintain clinical policies and procedures, clinical documentation templates, and standard operating procedures to ensure service fidelity and billing accuracy.
- Build and lead a team of licensed and unlicensed staff in providing assessments, therapy, case management, psychosocial rehab, skills training, and other support services.
- Serve as the agency's Clinical Lead in contract discussions, audits, and collaborations with Medicaid providers, MCOs, and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Finance and Billing departments to ensure timely and accurate billing and compliance with Medicaid and MCO requirements.
- Work with department heads to transform workflows into billable practices.
- Promote a mission-aligned culture of care, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all clinical programs.
- Assist with grants, audits, program evaluation, and other special projects as assigned.
- Hire, train, and supervise assigned personnel; coordinate ongoing staff and volunteer training and development.
- Supervision of clinical interns or provision of clinical supervision hours.
- Conduct annual performance reviews, engage in regular staff evaluations, and manage disciplinary actions as needed in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Design and develop new programs as needed, establishing outcome measures for evaluation and accountability for funding sources.
- Manage the Clinical Services Policies and Procedures Manual, ensuring compliance and adherence.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HIPAA compliance and protocols to ensure that strictest standards are followed.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized records (physical and digital) for program operations, properties, client case files, and other pertinent documents in accordance with HIPPA and TSA guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison to Divisional Headquarters on regional clinical services issues as assigned by the Director of Social Services.
- Other duties as assigned as they relate to the position of Clinical Services Director.
