Overview:

A Concrete Paving Foreman is a Full-Time Salaried Position who will take ownership of their role by being a member of the team, counted on every day to make a meaningful contribution to the projects on which you work, support the Construction stage of projects to ensure the most efficient and safe construction and will be responsible for supporting the preparation of accurate PCC placement.

TRAVEL IS REQUIRED! This is a Statewide traveling position, most weeks require overnight stays on the road with the crew. Almost always home on the weekends. Peak season is April – November.

Responsibilities:

  • Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects.
  • Be aware of and familiar with the Company Handbook.
  • Teach, coach, and work with the team in a constructive manner.
  • Actively lead any recommended or mandatory training.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustive.
  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e., traveling in Iowa/Minnesota and outside normal hours).
  • Organize and schedule a team to maintain efficient productivity.
  • Perform all aspects of the job and provide training to crew members.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities per company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proper preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure safety training and procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Mobilize crew and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct weekly safety and planning meetings with the crew.



Requirements:

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of concrete paving experience in a variety of settings.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete paving technology and equipment.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Gomaco Pavers.
  • High level of reasoning abilities (i.e., Meeting deadlines, Prioritize Company and customer needs, serving as a leader to both peers and direct reports).
  • Basic mathematical skills (i.e., Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide).
  • Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
  • Fabrication skills.
  • License greater than a Class B CDL.

  • Operate hand and foot controls.
  • Simple/Firm grasping/Pinching.
  • Ability to lift/lower/carry over 50 pounds.
