Title: Lecturer (100%) - UMass Poll - Political Science Department Executive Area: Academic Affairs College/School/MBU: Social & Behavioral Sciences Department: Political Science Work Location: Amherst Schedule: Full Time Work Arrangement: Onsite Job Summary The Department of Political Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a 1-year, non-tenure track Lecturer position in Political Behavior beginning in September 2026. Essential Functions The Lecturer will have the opportunity to further their own research agenda and to collaborate with the faculty in the Department of Political Science on ongoing and new research projects related to political behavior, public opinion, political psychology, gender and politics, methodology, and race and ethnic politics. Minimum Qualifications A Ph.D. in political science or a related discipline by the time of appointment is required. Working Conditions Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion. The potential for another one-year reappointment is contingent upon funding availability and satisfactory performance Salary Information It is expected that the salary range for this position is between $65,550 and $87,309. The specific pay for this position will be determined by the University based on consideration of all relevant factors when and if it decides to extend an offer of employment.
