The Bloch School of Management is focused on helping students develop the capacity for driving business innovation in our AI driven landscape, supporting both new ventures and established organizations. The Bloch School enrolls approximately 2000 undergraduate and graduate students and also offers extensive non-credit programming through executive and continuing education. Job Description

The Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position from outstanding candidates with expertise in entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology.

This is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for ranked faculty promotion. Initial appointment is for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Qualifications

  • MBA or related graduate degree (including a PhD or DBA) where the business school is accredited by AACSB or EQUIS with significant coursework in areas related to expected teaching assignments.
  • For candidates with a MBA or MS degree, at least 5 years of professional experience in areas related to expected teaching assignments. .
  • Experience, professional engagement, and/or research and publications must allow for candidate to meet AACSB faculty qualifications.
  • Evidence documenting expertise in areas related to technology and innovation, commercialization, and/or product development.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate competencies critical for instructional effectiveness, the ability to address the needs of students from across a broad portfolio of programs and from different backgrounds, and the capacity to utilize different teaching modalities.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate outreach capabilities and competencies relating to the design and delivery of co-curricular programming.
Anticipated Hiring Range

This is a non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position and salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience and evidence of success in publications and research.
