Job Description




As a Security Officer - Medical Center Rounds in Mangonia Park, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while responding to concerns and supporting site protocols. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting staff with de-escalation and directing people to appropriate resources.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, corridors, lobbies, stairwells, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials when required, and assisting with visitor sign-in and wayfinding.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems as assigned, and coordinate with site leadership and emergency responders when escalation is needed.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate key information during shift transitions.
  • Assist with access control for deliveries, contractors, and service providers, following site-specific procedures for screening and routing.
  • Support emergency preparedness procedures such as medical facility alert codes, evacuations, and shelter-in-place directions, as directed by site leadership.
  • Provide courteous assistance to individuals with questions, lost property, or other concerns, and refer matters to appropriate departments when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This position is at a hospital site with vaccine-related requirements.
  • This position is at a hospital site that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
