Role Description - Senior Manager, Collection

Senior Manager, Collection is responsible for leading and optimizing the collections function for the assigned portfolio, ensuring timely and effective recovery of receivables, minimizing credit risk, and supporting sustainable cash flow. The role combines strategic ownership with hands-on operational leadership, driving efficient processes, strong regulatory compliance, and a balanced, customer-focused approach.

Key Accountabilities



  • Own and drive the end-to-end collections strategy, including early, mid, and late-stage collections
  • Lead, develop, and performance-manage the collections team to achieve agreed targets
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal governance standards
  • Establish clear policies, procedures, and escalation frameworks for collections activities
  • Manage complex, high-risk, or escalated cases when required
  • Collaborate closely with Business, Credit and Legal to align objectives and processes
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve collection strategies and customer treatment
  • Prepare and present regular performance, risk, and improvement reports to senior stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to collections

Systems & Tools Expertise

The Collection Manager is expected to be highly proficient in and comfortable working across multiple systems, such as ERP, Data & Reporting Tools and Third-Party Agency Portals.

The role requires the ability to quickly learn new systems, drive system improvements, and translate system data into actionable insights.

Qualifications and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in collections, credit management, or accounts receivable
  • Previous leadership or people management experience
  • Strong understanding of collection laws and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Proficiency in MS Office and collection/CRM systems

For this position, the expected base pay range is $115,000 - $140,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
