UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This opportunity is a full-time day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This opportunity is a REMOTE, full-time and day shift opening located in New Mexico.

*This is a work from home position that requires the selected candidate to have a permanent address and live in New Mexico or be willing to relocate to New Mexico*

*This position is remote, however the selected candidate would need to be available to come into the office in Albuquerque, New Mexico if they experience network or laptop issues*

Minimum $85,781 - Midpoint $109,305*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Senior Financial Analyst:

Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.

Summary

Under general supervision, performs strategic, broad-impact financial analysis and reporting. Supports the Director of Financial Planning in the design, coordination and implementation of budget systems and reports. Compiles information, analyzes data and prepares high level financial reports for UNMMG Senior Management, SOM Department Management, UNMMG Clinics, UNM Health System, UNMMG Board of Directors, UNMMG Finance Committee and other related entities. May serve as a lead to others in the financial planning department in the compilation or analysis of data to support reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Financial Analyst:



  1. Oversees the design, documentation, and implementation of various integrated systems and applications for periodic and ad hoc financial reporting, utilizing complex electronic financial information from UNM systems and databases.
  2. Develops complex spreadsheet and database applications; and compiles and analyzes financial models and projections, reports, and presentations that support strategic and programmatic goals of the UNMMG.
  3. Compiles and analyzes financial information from all components of the organizational entity, and develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
  4. Collaborates with and coordinates all components of the organization to ensure consistent reporting and adherence to federal and state financial reporting regulations and guidelines, and conformity with university fiscal policies and procedures.
  5. Analyzes, designs, documents, and implements internal financial reporting systems and procedures for the organization or business entity.
  6. Designs, coordinates, and implements training programs for personnel within the organization and its components regarding the nature and application operating policies and procedures.
  7. Provides leadership, administrative management, and operational coordination to various technical, professional, and/or administrative personnel engaged in specified project activities, as appropriate to the position.
  8. May serve as a lead to others in the financial planning department in the compilation or analysis of data to support department mission.
  9. May represent the medical group and its agenda to community constituencies, governmental agencies and or funding agencies as required.
