Job Description

Assists the Ammunition Logistics Section with functions at the salvage yard. Duties include: verifying ammunition containers are free of energetic materials, processing materials for recycling and or disposal, and palletizing containers in accordance with specific direction. Operates forklifts to store material for reuse or processing for recycling and or disposal. Communicates with multiple organizations for specific supply requirements. Performs other duties as required to complete the assigned mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

Pay Rate:$24.72

Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:

*Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Job Skills Requirements:

*Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.
*Must be able to obtain and maintain a current AA&E certification.
*Must be able to obtain and maintain Ammo 45 Certification within 30 days.

Physical Requirements:

*Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
*Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
*Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
*Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for Ammunition Logistics.
*Must be capable of lifting 110 lbs. chest high unassisted repeatedly during the day.
*Must be able to lift and transport 75 lbs. unassisted over uneven ground for 50 feet.
*Must be capable of frequent squatting, crouching, and stooping
*Must be tolerant of frequent weapons systems firings.
*Must not have color vision deficiency.

*Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
*Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.
*Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

*Arizona Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazardous material endorsement.
*2 years of experience with forklift operations.

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements:

*Must be a U.S. Citizen.
*Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
*Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.
