What to Expect

Specialize in Wireless technologies in an enterprise and manufacturing environment.This role will provide wireless engineering, implementation, analytical, and technical guidance in a build and operational support. The engineer will ensure compliance to established system architecture, regulations and security policies, follow standards and best practices, and author and maintain support documentation.


What You'll Do
  • Work closely with Network Architects on wireless design and initiatives
  • Maintain current wireless solution within factories, warehouses, and offices
  • Function as a Tier-1-3 escalation point
  • Coordinate and lead on implementation of new wireless services
  • Ensure wireless regulations and legal requirements are maintained
  • Monitor, analyze, and report metrics of wireless solution
  • Document enterprise wireless infrastructure components and "Run-Book"
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidays
  • Participate in on call rotation
  • <5% travel required as necessary

What You'll Bring
  • 6+ years' experience engineering mission critical wireless infrastructure
  • Extensive experience in wireless solution with IEEE 802.11 standards, encryption, WIDS, rogue detection, 802.1x, RADIUS, EAP-TLS, wireless client chipset/driver, RF engineering for wireless planning, along with multi-vendor technologies including Cisco controllers, Mist wireless, Aruba Networks 7x/9x series controller, Aruba Airwave, Aruba ClearPass, and AOS8
  • Experience with various wireless tools such as Spectrum Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer, and Site Survey Tools
  • Experience level knowledge of IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, SNMP, and QOS
  • Experience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metrics for dashboard
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
