In this position, you will work closely with Technical Directors, Project Managers, and Design Engineers to prepare technical documents such as design basis documents, calculations, drawings, specifications, engineering reports and will interface with specialists in other disciplines such as geotechnical, coastal, drafting, engineer-divers, and to a lesser extent, mechanical and electrical engineers.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Prepare studies, calculations, designs, drawings, sketches, and plans for a variety of structural engineering projects
- Conduct field inspections of existing structures to determine the necessity for future construction, repair, or maintenance
- Conduct field inspections of construction and repair projects in progress to ensure conformance with plans, specifications, and codes
- Gather, prepare and maintain engineering data, records and reports
- Prepare reports, contract specifications, lists of materials, cost estimates, and schedules
- Meet and consult with professional engineering personnel.

On top of that, you will have:
- Possess or be pursuing a baccalaureate or masters degree from a civil/ structural engineering program
- Be able to maintain an effective working relationship with a variety of people
- Have an understanding of applying structural design codes
- Preferably have a valid Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate issued by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
