What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to support the Production Control team. The Facilities and Equipment Supervisor will need to demonstrate skills in breakdown management and follow-up actions to prevent repeat occurrences, equipment and facilities spare parts management, training and development, etc. This person must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect facility operations, production efficiency, workspace ergonomics, equipment maintenance, and building systems upkeep. In this role, the right candidate will possess the ability to manage multiple teams and successfully multitask while managing KPIs for several key facilities and equipment departments. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise hourly maintenance, spares, and facilities/equipment technicians
  • Day-to-day facility and equipment maintenance support, in-house repair work, PTO scheduling, OT, and weekend work scheduling
  • Defining daily tasks and setting directions for the team of technicians
  • Develop SOPs and methods for facilities and equipment operations
  • Develop and maintain proper documentation: procedures, periodic maintenance tasks, equipment and facility changes (electrical, spare parts upgrades, mechanical), implementing and enforcing safety and quality control measures, trend data analysis, etc.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory for facilities and equipment. Identify and order needed parts, maintain tracking system
  • Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in supervision and leadership
  • 5+ years of extensive experience with troubleshooting and correcting equipment and facilities maintenance-breakdowns and failures (including building systems like electrical, mechanical)
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Flexible, positive attitude
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
