Position Description With assignments from Facility Manager or Maintenance Supervisor performs fabrication such as making new production equipment, building modifications. Use experience to make recommendation of construction to improve fit and function of equipment being developed Key Responsibilities Fabricate all types of production equipment. Operates welder. Oxygen/acetylene welding, TIG, MIG, stick welding, power tools, drill press, JLG, fork lift, band saw...etc. Studies and modifies designs to accommodate fabrication needs and or improvements in function of equipment. Clean up work areas. Adheres to company safety, environmental, property protection policies and complies with appropriate codes on work performed Required Education & Qualifications Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent or silver on career readiness exam (CRC) is required and the ability to work with others fabricating/developing production and designs of other needed equipment. Must read and understand basic electrical and/or mechanical drawings and sketches. Must be able to do basic math. Education in mechanics/electrical and hydraulics a plus.
