Job Description:

Join our innovative and collaborative team as a Software Developer specializing in Oracle Apex where you will play a key role in transforming manufacturing data collection, conversion, analysis, and reporting. We are dedicated to leveraging the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence to drive process improvements and deliver actionable insights for semiconductor manufacturing.

Requirements/Qualifications:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer, maintain, and enhance the Oracle Application Express (APEX) instance and associated applications, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Work closely with DBA, other developers, and functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Design, develop, and support data analysis applications for end-users, including semiconductor test and yield enhancement engineers
  • Develop new, resilient, and scalable systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting, leveraging AI/ML frameworks and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities integration and automation within manufacturing workflows.
  • Build and maintain robust data infrastructure to support large-scale data collection, distribution, and advanced analytics.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, process flows, and user guides.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation with an AI/ML first approach

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in software development, with demonstrated experience in Oracle Application Express(APEX) administration and development.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including PL/SQL, TSQL, stored procedures, and complex queries.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases, including hands-on experience administering Oracle Application Express (APEX).
  • Familiarity with web technologies (front-end and back-end).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Effective team player with excellent communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, prioritizing collective goals and open communication.
  • Strong interest in continuous learning, self-motivation, and a customer-service mindset.
  • Willingness to grow with LLM-based technologies.
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and software testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of statistics, data mining, and data visualization techniques.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication and testing processes is a plus.
  • Docker/Containerization setup and use
  • NGINX/Web Server administration
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, PERL); C/C++ experience is a plus.
  • Experience with client-side technologies (HTML, JavaScript, Angular, React, CSS).
  • Familiarity with software development tools such as Jenkins, GIT, SVN, Confluence, and Jira.
  • Proficiency with command-line interfaces in Unix/Linux/DOS and Windows environments.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with an emphasis on collaborating with internal customers to define workflow and functional requirements.
  • Ability to develop and enhance automation scripts to streamline processes.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Commitment to maintaining thorough documentation and knowledge sharing.

Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 - $143,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
