Genesis10 is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid position located in Milwaukee, WI, or Louisville, KY 40241.

This is a hybrid contract-to-hire position requiring 3 days onsite per week in either Milwaukee, WI, or Louisville, KY.


Compensation: $70.00 - $84.00 per hour, W2, depending on skill and experience level.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Infrastructure & Enterprise Services Engineer to support, enhance, and strategically evolve our enterprise Microsoft ecosystem. This role focuses on infrastructure, automation, security, and governance across Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, and Entra ID, with an emphasis on stability, scalability, and risk-aware enablement.

This is not a software development role. The ideal candidate brings deep platform, infrastructure, and security expertise and can collaborate effectively with project teams, security partners, and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and adopt new and emerging Enterprise Services, including Microsoft 365 applications, Microsoft Power Platform, and Azure technologies, to deliver the right solutions for project teams and business needs.

  • Build, configure, administer, and support infrastructure with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.

  • Manage Azure Entra ID integrations for internal applications and external vendors.

  • Monitor enterprise services to ensure performance, stability, and availability.

  • Support long-term strategic planning to ensure infrastructure capacity meets current and future requirements, including planning for new hardware and applications.

  • Collaborate closely with project delivery teams and IT security to ensure solutions align with best practices, security policies, and governance standards.

  • Develop technical documentation and mentor IT Operations team members.

  • Participate in a 24x7 support environment, including on-call rotation, and respond to Service Desk escalations as needed.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of enterprise-level technical experience with successful Microsoft product deployments.

  • Strong experience with cloud integration using Microsoft technologies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • Working knowledge of physical infrastructure architecture, cloud integration models, and workflow diagrams.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to apply previous knowledge to new and complex scenarios.

  • Solid understanding of how Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and Azure integrate and operate together at an enterprise infrastructure level.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise security and risk management, particularly when enabling Microsoft services and platforms.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

  • Azure Automation and Azure Functions

  • Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Platform

  • System monitoring and observability tools, including Azure Monitor, KQL, and SCOM

  • Automation using Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online)
Additional Notes
  • This role requires deep expertise in infrastructure, security, governance, and policy management.

  • We are not seeking a traditional application developer; this position focuses on platform engineering and enterprise risk-aware infrastructure enablement.
