Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery- Part Time, Nights Status: Part Time Shift: Third About The Unit: Provides nursing care for the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patient; gynecological medical and surgical patient; plastic surgery patient and normal newborn. The staff consists of registered nurses, OB Technicians and unit secretaries. Services provided include fetal monitoring, a fetal monitoring surveillance system, ultrasound and phototherapy. Job Summary: A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient/resident (pediatric togeriatrics depending on scope of care in the nursing department in which he/she works)assigned to his/her care. The employee is responsible for the coordination of direct andindirect care within the parameters of the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and the policies andprocedures of BHLAG.
