Sr. Financial Analyst - Retail

The Sr Financial Analyst-Retail role supports the financial activities of Home Centers with: month end closing, financial analysis and reporting, as well as day to day financial activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate results
• Responsible for financial reporting including analysis, interpretation and communication of monthly financial results; lead deviation analysis and explanation of key performance drivers; assist with monthly forecasting
• Prepare month end journal entries related to consumer rebates, contract allowances and other incentive accruals and payment
• Provide adhoc analysis including but not limited to customer and product segment profitability, margin analysis, and cost reduction
• Provide adhoc support to commercial team; developing reporting and tools to help drive financial results ensure KPIs are met.
• Work collaboratively with cross functional partners, including accounting, marketing, credit, and supply chain
• Assist in development of annual plan for all Home Centers
• Assist in monthly tracking, reporting, and clearing of Accounts Receivable; review monthly aging reports and assist in researching and processing claims related to returned goods/customer deductions

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• The candidate must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in an accounting or finance related field.
• Minium of five years of Finance, Accounting, or Business experience required
• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to provide detailed information to management in a summarized and succinct manner.
• Must have ability to analyze and interpret financial data and determine appropriate course of action.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to react quickly to change.
• Highly proficient in MS Excel required
• SAP and S-Base Oracle experience
• Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase Reporting/Hyperion Planning preferred
• Prior Accounts Receivable experience desirable
