The Senior Financial Analyst will perform and provide support in various accounting and reporting functions for payments of benefit programs, expenses, and payroll fringe expenses, as well as the monthly close process and financial reporting.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly journals to record payments of benefits claims, health and flexible savings, commuter benefits, and 401(k) by fringe pools
  • Prepare journals for employee payroll tax payments to third party tax filing service provider
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of the benefits and payroll bank accounts
  • Prepare monthly benefits chargebacks to divisions by fringe pool
  • Verify from vendor websites benefits, claims, and reimbursements
  • Prepare sweeps of divisional fringe benefits liability account to the payroll company ledger
  • Assist with performing and analyzing self-insured plans, reconciliations, and premiums
  • Reconcile payroll tax and employee withholding accounts
  • Perform payroll tax system administration, including data maintenance, adjustments, and corrections to ensure data integrity related to tax calculations, tax jurisdictions setup, company setup, and tax tables
  • Verify and update state unemployment (SUI) rates between ADP and Workday before the first payroll each year and maintain changes as necessary during the year
  • Research, resolve, and respond to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner regarding current and prior year, quarter, and year-end accounting
  • Support HR and Payroll on any employee payroll accounting and tax issues
  • Assist with preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, including cash flow, analytics, and supplemental reporting
  • Assist with SOX-related documentation and sign-offs
  • Perform ad hoc projects and reporting as needed

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry
  • Strong general accounting knowledge
  • Strong work ethic, understanding that all deliverables must be submitted accurately and timely
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced corporate finance environment
  • Proficient in Excel

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $35.50-44.24 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
