Position Title: Press Operator
Wage: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm QPS Employment Group has a great Press Operator position available at a company in Davenport, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Press Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and operate press brake and other manufacturing machinery. - Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints, drawings, job setup sheets, and process instructions. - Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). - Perform independent machine setups and adjustments. - Inspect parts throughout the production process to ensure quality and accuracy. - Layout and inspect parts using a variety of inspection tools, including: Calipers, Height gauges, Angle gauges, Indicators, Functional gauges. - Follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Press Operator Requirements: - Prior experience operating and setting up press brake equipment (required). - Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T specifications. - Experience performing self-inspection and quality checks. - Proficient with precision measuring and inspection tools. - Fork truck experience required (certification preferred). - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Ability to work independently without direct supervision. davenport@qpsemployment.com About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
