Qualifications Position Summary The Director of Business Development oversees the provision of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Business Development Department and representatives. The Director of Business Development is responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization's continuum of care through the effective application of marketing/sales principles and methods. The Director of Business Development is responsible for implementing the facility's strategic marketing plan, enhancing the facility's brand/image, coordination of all sales and business development activities. Licensure/Certification: Must possess a valid Driver's License Travel: Able to Travel on short notice and when necessary execute trips that may be in excess of 4 nights a week away from home, including on occasion some weekends. Maximizes the use of other forms of communications (phone, email, correspondence, etc.) to minimize the use of resources and money associated with travel. When applicable, uses discount airline travel and refrains from using hotel and rental car vendors not approved by supervisor. Is knowledgeable of the company's policy on travel and entertainment expenses and expenses are reflected according to policy. Expenses: Must have a personal credit card to purchase travel and misc. expenses incurred during the course of performing assigned duties. Accurately completes expense reports in a timely manner for reimbursement of all expenses approved by supervisor. Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of the Eastern Coast behavioral health and addiction treatment marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age/condition-specific programming. Must possess demonstrated superior leadership abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing principles including product, placement, pricing and promotion as well as management of sales, advertising, social media, online presence and, public relations resources; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection and analysis, interpretation, application and, evaluation; strategic planning skills; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; teaching or training skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required. Qualifications High School diploma and or a GED is required. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field preferred. Masters of Business Administration or related field preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu to meeting the educational requirements. | |
