Job Summary

The Success Courses Curriculum Manager supports the leadership of FIU's Success Courses by overseeing curriculum development, maintenance, and iterative improvement across all course offerings. Manages the regular review and update cycles for course content in Canvas, including maintaining consistent, high-quality syllabus templates, teaching resources, and instructional toolkits. The Curriculum Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all curriculum-related matters, providing support and guidance to Success Course instructors and faculty. Oversees the high school dual enrollment program for the Strategies for Success course, including coordinating schedules, collecting compliance documentation, and conducting site visits as needed at local Miami-Dade and Broward-County schools during respective semesters. Collaborates with the Program Director to develop and facilitate instructor training and onboarding sessions, ensuring alignment with instructional best practices and student success goals.

  • Manages the academic and curriculum support functions for FIU's Success Courses.
  • Works with assigned Instructional Design team to manage the Success Course Canvas blueprint shells each semester and deploy into all sections in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manages the regular review and update cycles for Canvas course content, including maintaining consistent, high-quality syllabus templates, teaching resources, and instructional toolkits.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the goals and objectives of our Dual Enrollment (DE) course offerings are being met. Ensures all required Dual Enrollment documentation is uploaded within FIU's Dual Enrollment SharePoint site to remain in compliance with DE policies and procedures.
  • Participates in staffing decisions, policy development and other key areas as necessary. Manages the onboarding or renewals of Success Course dual enrollment faculty.
  • Provides support and guidance to Success Course instructors and faculty.
  • Collaborates with Associate Director to develop and facilitate instructor training and onboarding sessions, ensuring alignment with instructional best practices and student success goals.
  • Coordinates the development, implementation and interpretation of Success Course operating procedures.
  • Updates and facilitates the SLS curriculum segment of Peer Mentor trainings to ensure student mentors understand their instructional role.
  • Assists with the administration and composing of weekly reminder emails and communications to Success Course faculty during active semesters.
  • Oversees the textbook adoption submissions for success courses each semester.
  • Supports Program Director with course redesigns and curriculum updates as needed for Success Courses. Assists with analyzing student feedback evaluations and supporting redesign cycles.
  • Responsible for the publishing of success course syllabi in FIU's Simple Syllabus site each semester. Ensuring compliance with FIU policies, procedures, practices and programs.
  • Supervises assigned staff. Establishes goals, identifies professional development opportunities, and evaluates performance as necessary to ensure semesterly tasks related to the post-graduation course are completed and on track.
  • Performs other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of appropriate experience, or Master's degree and two (2) years of experience.


Desired Qualifications
  • Previous teaching or facilitation experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), with advanced knowledge of Canvas strongly preferred.
  • Experience in training and development programs highly desired
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Quality Matters standards, or similar frameworks.
