Financial Systems Solution Engineer

Hyland is looking for an experienced Financial Systems professional to join our Information Systems team as a Solution Engineer. In this role, you will design and build innovative solutions within Hyland's core financial platforms, partnering closely with business stakeholders to solve complex challenges. Design, prototype, build, and configure business solutions based on feedback from product management, stakeholders, and customers, applying extensive experience and best practice knowledge.
• Lead business analysis sessions to gather information on business processes and concerns from key internal stakeholders, providing best practice guidance to drive agreed-upon solutions.
• Compose clear documentation outlining requirements for building business applications, ensuring solutions are developed for ease of maintenance by our support team.
• Test business applications, ensure optimal performance, resolve issues, and advise business customers on testing best practices.
• Support troubleshooting efforts and investigate applications and integrations to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow team members while managing work to project timelines and communicating scope changes to team management.

• Experience administering Workday, including security setup, business processes, and system integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Workday EIB, Core Connectors, BIRT, and Workday Studio.
• Demonstrated Workday Financials expertise, including accounting and finance processes such as billing, tax, revenue recognition, and collections.
• Significant experience implementing integrations with other business applications.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with financial system applications including Workday Financials, Avalara, Zuora Revenue (RevPro), Salesforce Billing, and Boomi.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong investigative and critical thinking skills, with the ability to ask probing questions to obtain quality information and surface meaningful insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a style that is clear, concise, and appropriate to the subject and audience.
• Strong collaboration skills, applied successfully within teams as well as across other functional areas of the organization.
