These roles involve patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. These roles are responsible for providing nursing care across various settings and specialties. Nurses and leaders in this category may rotate between departments or take on diverse duties, offering flexible and adaptive care based on the needs of patients and the institution. Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports. Manages a Department, Division or multiple Job Areas. Accountable for the performance and direction-setting of Department, Division or Job Areas. Develops solutions to complex, cross-functional problems that require the application of extensive experience-based subject matter knowledge. Requires the ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program, Master's degree in related field within 1 year of hire. Experience: 5 or more years of progressive leadership experience, required. Management experience in an Academic Medical Center and Magnet organization preferred. Excellent Mentoring, Training, Coaching and Effective Communication skills preferred. Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification preferred. Applicable specialty and/or administration certification strongly preferred at hire or within 3 years. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. The starting base rate for this role is $111,330.00 annually.
