Job Duties and Responsibilities:
*Safely and effectively operates test equipment according to manuals, work instructions, or industry standards.
*Assist in the generation of applicable documentation for the effective and proper use of test systems and equipment utilized by R&D. To include work instructions and standard operating procedures.
*Follows documented and verbal test plans, interprets test standards, documents raw test data, and creates written test reports to SIG SAUER INC standards.
*Collaboratively develops new and edits existing data acquisition test plans based on statistical and quality assurance principles to validate design or data quality.
*Assists in the analysis and presentation of test data using statistics to ensure repeatability, reproducibility, and accuracy metrics for test systems used in product design validation testing procedures.
*Assists in the research of technology to create data acquisition/processing systems to fill gaps in Research and Development departmental test capacity & capabilities.
*Assists in design, creating schematics for, and builds of systems and automated equipment for testing firearms, ammunition, or firearm subassemblies.
*Participates in and sustains 5S Standards.
*Must follow all required ISO procedures, comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements, and adhere to SIG SAUER, Inc. security mandates.
*Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
*Cross functional efforts with other engineering concentrations within test engineering as needed.

Education, Experience, and Required Skills:
*Pursuant of Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering. Or equivalent experience in related degree disciplines.
*Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Experience using data collection/analysis programs for raw test data is preferred. LabVIEW, MATLAB, VBA, Python coding languages preferred.
*Experience analyzing statistical data is preferred. Minitab knowledge and experience preferred.
*Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
*Ability to verbally, and in written form, express ideas clearly and professionally is required.
*Preferred experience collecting data through sensors including or similar to accelerometers, thermocouples, force transducers, pressure sensors, LVDTs.

Working Conditions:
*Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
*Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
*Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
*Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
*Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG
