Responsibilities

Join Our Team as a Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist!

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the world of behavioral health? We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist to join our dynamic team! In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our corporate billing office, ensuring that our clients receive the accurate information they need for their care.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the Information Guru: Obtain and verify accurate behavioral health and telehealth information for our clients, ensuring they have the coverage they need.
  • Support Every Department: Answer questions and provide essential information to admissions, utilization review, and billing teams, making you an invaluable resource across the board.
  • Client Liaison: Explain benefits and coverage information clearly and compassionately to clients and their families after admission, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
  • Data Accuracy Champion: Enter all client information accurately into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to facilitate smooth billing processes.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Verifying insurance coverage and benefits for potential admissions using systems like Availity and Verify TX, and reaching out to payers when necessary.
  • Capturing thorough and accurate information for each verification of benefits (VOB).
  • Inputting insurance data into SalesForce with precision.
  • Communicating professionally and courteously over the phone.
  • Collaborating with team members to streamline efforts and avoid duplication.
  • Running biweekly reports on current census insurance coverage.
  • Triage urgent VOBs as directed by the admissions management team.

Qualifications

  • Insurance experience required, preferably in verification of benefits.
  • Behavioral health experience preferred.
