Job Title: Accounting Clerk Vaco has partnered with a company looking for an accounting clerk to add to their team! Job Summary The Accounting Clerk supports the finance department by performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and clerical tasks. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Enter and maintain financial data in accounting systems Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Maintain organized financial files and documentation Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries Support audits by providing required documentation Perform data entry and administrative support as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and time-management skills Effective written and verbal communication Problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of confidentiality and professionalism Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
