At Turbine Kinetics, our mission is to deliver high-quality, reliable aerospace and defense products with unmatched customer service. The Quality Production Expeditor plays a key role in supporting this mission by ensuring that parts flow efficiently through production and quality processes. This role supports on-time delivery, regulatory compliance, and Turbine Kinetics commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Quality Production Expeditor acts as a liaison between Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Support, ensuring the accurate and timely progression of hardware through all inspection and documentation stages. Key Responsibilities Production & Workflow Coordination
- Track and expedite work orders through inspection to meet customer delivery schedules.
- Prioritize and adjust workflow based on critical customer needs, engineering changes, and production constraints.
- Identify roadblocks or delays and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly.
Quality Interface & Compliance
- Work closely with Quality Inspectors to ensure nonconformances (NCRs) are resolved quickly.
- Coordinate the movement of parts through AS9100-compliant quality inspection processes.
- Ensure all required certifications, test results, material traceability documents, and travelers are complete and accompany parts at each stage.
- Assist in clearing nonconformances (NCRs) by working with Quality and Engineering to keep product flow uninterrupted.
Cross-Functional Communication
- Provide daily updates to management on production status, risks, and schedule impacts.
- Escalate issues impacting delivery, yield, or customer satisfaction.
Documentation & Data Integrity
- Ensure all production records comply with aerospace and defense regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, DoD, NADCAP when applicable).
- Validate accuracy of routers, inspection sheets, work instructions, and engineering change documentation.
- Generate reports on workflow performance, cycle time, and expediting activities.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Familiarity with aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate activities across multiple departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially excel
- Advance excel skills desired
- Understanding of AS9100, FAA regulatory requirements, and general quality system expectations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency and ownership.
- Ability to work effectively with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in production expediting, quality support, and aerospace manufacturing.
- Prior experience supporting FAA-regulated or AS9100-certified production operations.
- Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives a plus.
- Knowledge of outside processing workflows (plating, NDT, heat treat, etc.).
