KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Performs advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on plant and production equipment issues using schematics and technical drawings.
  • Performs preventative and required maintenance on production and plant equipment. Repairs equipment, systems, conveyors and/or other systems at the facility.
  • Documents maintenance and preventive services performed, and actions taken to fix issues.
  • Works with pneumatics, electrical, hydraulic and/or air compressor systems (varies by business unit).


  • Provides production and physical plant maintenance support.
  • Identifies and implements ideas for process improvements, safety, quality and waste management.
  • Inspects alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
  • May act as a resource to less experience technicians to assist with troubleshooting issues and understanding policies/procedures.
  • Promotes company safety policies, workmanship standards and operational procedures among team members while displaying strong quality consciousness at all times.
  • May performs other various duties such as assembly, operating equipment, machining and welding.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Typically requires an associate/technical degree in a maintenance technology, a related certification, or equivalent.

Experience: Typically requires 5 years of manufacturing experience.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Strong skills in and experience with pneumatics, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and air compressor systems.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office.


  • Strong industrial skills with PLC experience.
  • Skills in and ability to inspect alarm systems (fire, protection).
  • Ability to perform diverse tasks while requiring minimal supervision.
  • Ability to attain forklift driving certification (requirement may vary by business unit)
