Registered Nurse (RN) Data Coordinator - Abdominal Transplant Job Responsibilities:
- Manages clinical information to support data reporting requirements and unit charges. Maintains expert level proficiency regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Provides staff education to improve staff knowledge of standards and promote safety, quality of care and regulatory compliance. Identifies ongoing education needs and seeks out educational programs to enhance knowledge.
- Supports quality and complication reviews, including all root cause analysis projects at the direction of the quality manager. Performs data abstraction and analysis for program quality and performance improvement activities. Provides department quality assessment and works collaboratively with clinical teams in support of program quality and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Develops and maintains policies and manuals in conjunction with the quality manager and clinical teams.
- Actively supports ongoing readiness activities for TJC, UNOS and CMS certification surveys. Participates in and supports regulatory surveys as directed by the quality manager or department director.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license Experience: 2 years of nursing experience Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, within 2 years of date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
