  • 72 Hours/ 2 Weeks
  • Day Shift Monday - Friday
  • We have positions open in our float pool and will consider an MA,LPN or RN candidate. Rate of pay is based on designation and experience.

Responsibilities

RN/LPN ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.

* Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.

* Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care

* Documents according to standards of care.

* Develops initiates and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or clinic policy including patient and family instruction.

* Utilizes resources available to teach and support patient and family education. Provides education to the appropriate level of understanding.

* Acts to resolve systems breakdowns and engages self and others in providing solutions.

* Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, may include shared governance.

* Utilizes clinical expertise & guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.

* Utilizes critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.

* Participates in the professional nursing continuum process, unit/department practice activities and decisions and peer review process

* Positively influences the professional and organizational environments and shared governance.

* Engages in personal development and supports system-entity opportunities for continuous learning and growth including developing or revising evidence-based practice guidelines.

MA ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Rooms patients, collects assessment data and prepares patient according to specific need.
  • Assists in examination, treatment and other clinic procedures.
  • Assists with laboratory procedures, screening tests and QI projects.
  • Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel, or initiates a triage slip for response by medical personnel.
  • Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler.
  • Conducts reminder calls to all patients.
  • Greet and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors.
  • Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate.
  • Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient's chart.
  • Coordinates referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices.
  • Collects payment from patients and issues receipt where applicable.
  • Prepares and maintains patient charts.
  • Maintains and orders supplies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

RN:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.

Licensed as an RN in WI

Approved CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days

LPN:

Graduate of an accredited LPN Program OR

Wisconsin: Have completed the portion of the RN Program needed to obtain a certificate of completion in practical nursing.

Licensed as an LPN in WI
Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days

MA:

Graduate of a medical assistant program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or graduate of a medical assistant program in a post secondary school or college that has institutional accreditation by a regional accrediting commission or by a national accrediting organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education, or a graduate of an educational program accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), such as the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
