DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Within this supervisory role, it is essential you have direct knowledge of laws and regulations which govern child welfare services and ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations and Agency policies and procedures. Work includes ensuring that all required documents are completed within the required time frame and that all available services are provided to clients in compliance with applicable regulations. You can expect to review and schedule all petitions for Court Reviews and have all required forms completed accurately and in a timely manner. This position oversees the training and approval of new foster parents, foster home evaluations and re-evaluations, and assures foster families meet all State and Federal requirements and regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining reports, statistics, data and summaries to assist in preparing an appropriate budget based on the needs of the unit. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lebanon County. If no eligible candidates who live within Lebanon County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
