Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong expertise in COBOL and PL/I to join our team supporting the State Farm Payment Plan (SFPP) mainframe system. This critical legacy system comprises just under 10,000 components and requires ongoing maintenance and enhancement for the next 5-6 years before it is fully sunset. The ideal candidate will quickly ramp up on this vast system and sustain knowledge and expertise to ensure smooth operations as other engineers retire. While SFPP will eventually be retired, opportunities exist within State Farm for continued mainframe work or transition into web-based software engineering with our team. Key Responsibilities:
